| Artists Statement:
| Bordering on performance, Flemons’ animated sculptures and installations are frequently made in the public arena, inviting questions and placing engagement with the viewer, or audience, at the centre of his way of working. Household materials and appliances are collected and modified to create interventions that examine both the way we live and the space we inhabit. Not only do these sculptures explore the space, but the space becomes part of the raw material of the work.
Today his practice is increasingly influenced by geographers, town planners, and architects, as he looks to incorporate the choreography of people's interactions with their environment into his work. Here he is documenting the narrative of our daily lives as they progress in time and space.
